Up and running in minutes

Setup guidance, answers to the questions we hear most, and a direct line to our team in Mumbai.

Setting up your router

1

Connect the line

On an X-series model, plug the fiber into the PON port. On an R-series, run an Ethernet cable from your existing ONT or modem into the WAN port.

2

Power on and wait

Switch on and give it about two minutes. The indicator LEDs settle once the link is established.

3

Join and secure

Connect to the default Wi-Fi name printed on the label, then open the admin page to set your own network name and a WPA3 password.

4

Extend if needed

Every Uncord router is EasyMesh compatible. Add a second unit and it will mesh with the first for whole-home coverage.

Exact LED behavior, default credentials and admin URLs vary by model and firmware, so always check the label on the underside of your unit.

Frequently asked

What's the difference between the X and R models?+

X models are XPON routers. The fiber from your ISP plugs straight in, so you don't need a separate ONT. R models are Ethernet routers: they connect through their Ethernet WAN port to your broadband line, or to an existing ONT or modem.

Do I need the VoIP version?+

Only if you want to keep a landline handset working over your fiber connection. The X31 and X13 include an RJ11 telephone port; the X30 and X12 are otherwise identical without it.

Should I choose AX3000 or AC1200?+

AX3000 models (X31, X30, R30) are Wi-Fi 6 with Smart OFDMA and high-power front-end modules on both bands, better for larger homes and heavy device counts. AC1200 models (X13, X12, R12) are Wi-Fi 5 with MU-MIMO, and are well suited to apartments and everyday broadband.

Can I use two Uncord routers as a mesh?+

Yes. All six models are EasyMesh compatible, so a second unit will pair with the first and hand devices between them as you move around. A purpose-built Uncord Mesh system is on the way.

Is my router compatible with my ISP?+

The X-series supports both GPON and EPON, which covers the large majority of Indian fiber providers. If you're unsure, send us your provider name and plan and we'll confirm.

How do I claim warranty?+

Contact us with your model, purchase invoice and a description of the fault, and our team will guide you through the process.
